Alan Griffin
Alan Griffin is the proud parent of an Armstrong alum who attended the school from 1st through 8th grade. Alan joined the Building and Grounds Committee in 2023 to support the Campus Planning Master Plan and to give back to a community that has been deeply meaningful to his family. Growing up with learning differences himself, Alan understands firsthand the impact that a supportive educational environment can have. Seeing his son thrive at Armstrong reinforced his belief in the school’s mission. While Armstrong equips dyslexic students with effective learning strategies, it is the emphasis on self‑advocacy that most inspires Alan and fuels his commitment to the school. He values the patience, grace, and care that Armstrong provides its students and families. Alan works for DPR Construction in Santa Clara, where he has built a lifelong career around building and delivering complex projects. He began in the field as a laborer and carpenter before moving into project management and operations. Today, he serves as a local leader focused on people and culture as the company continues to scale globally. Alan fell in love with the outdoors and the Rocky Mountain west while in college in Colorado where he obtained a degree in Business. He lives in Menlo Park with his wife, Meghan, and their two daughters. His Armstrong graduate is now a thriving student at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
