Peter Sutherland
Peter Sutherland is the father of Milo, his son who enrolled as a fifth grader at Charles Armstrong in 2023. Peter has been astonished by the profound impact a small, focused school like Charles Armstrong can have on students with dyslexia. He envisions a world where more schools are able to offer as effective and comprehensive a curriculum to students affected by dyslexia and embraces Charles Armstrong’s supportive efforts toward dyslexic learners within and beyond the school community.
Peter has served as co-chair of the Charles Armstrong Annual Fund and continues to support the admissions department as a docent, providing classroom tours for prospective parents. Peter has over two decades of experience working in the Bay Area as a Software Engineer, spanning various industries such as Biotechnology and Entertainment Media. Throughout his career, he has volunteered with local organizations to provide technical assistance to underserved communities. He holds engineering degrees from the University of Washington and Carnegie Mellon University. Peter resides in San Francisco with his wife and their two teenagers.
