Heyward Fellows

Heyward Fellows is the parent of James, an 8th grader, who has attended Armstrong since 4th grade.  Since joining the Armstrong community, Heyward has served as a volunteer and co-chair of CAPSO, the Charles Armstrong Parent Support Organization.  Having seen the profound impact of Amstrong in James’ confidence and enjoyment of learning, she is excited and honored to continue to participate in the important work Amstrong does for dyslexia awareness and education. Heyward graduated with a BS and MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.  She spent the first ten years of her career as an engineer with the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory before moving on to roles in the corporate world.  She is now a full-time mom and volunteer who lives in San Carlos with her husband, two kids, and ever-growing collection of pets.
