Movement

Movement is a dynamic, multifaceted class designed for Lower School students that uses engaging, brain-based activities to strengthen both the body and the mind. Each class builds confidence, supports learning readiness, and keeps students actively engaged.

  • Experience academics through Action Based Learning™
  • Strengthen brain-body systems (vestibular, proprioceptive, visual, and motor) that support reading, memory, and attention
  • Develop social-emotional skills through teamwork and play

Examples of units and skills include:
  • The Brain and Learning: basic brain anatomy, crossing the midline, activating brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)
