At Armstrong, our Music Program is a vibrant, inclusive space where students explore sound, rhythm, and creative expression. Through listening, singing, composing, and collaborating, learners build musical literacy while engaging in both group and individual experiences that support their strengths and growth.
Students develop a shared “music language” to understand rhythm, melody, harmony, and form, bringing it to life through hands-on work with instruments like xylophones, guitars, ukuleles, and percussion. They also learn the basics of recording—capturing, layering, and editing sound—so they become both performers and creators.
Aligned with Armstrong’s mission, the program offers multisensory, experiential learning that builds confidence, collaboration, and responsibility. Through music, students develop technical skills alongside resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.
