What CAS's Summer Program Offers

At Charles Armstrong School, our academic program is specifically designed for students with language-based learning differences. During Summer School2the summer, we provide a morning program that gives students the opportunity to continue to acquire skills in a 19-day program focused on reading, writing and mathematics for grades 1-7. CAS Summer School and Camp is offered to CAS's ongoing students, is required for students newly entering CAS in the fall, and is open to students from other schools who will be entering Summer Schoolgrades one through seven who have been diagnosed with a language-based learning difference or are referred by their current school or teacher. Summer School gives students who struggle with reading, writing and math skills a chance to benefit from Charles Armstrong School’s unique approach to learning and small group instruction.

Our highly trained summer school faculty offers a simultaneous, multi-sensory approach to language instruction.

Each afternoon, Camp Armstrong provides a structured program with sports, arts and crafts, swimming and field trips to suit all age level. There is a lower school camp for students entering grades one through five and a middle school camp for students entering grades six and seven. The goal of camp is to build self-confidence, self-expression, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork all in the spirit of fun!
