Admissions Process & Requirements
Please do not submit any original documents, e.g. testing, reports, etc. (copies only) as they will become the property of Charles Armstrong School and will not be duplicated or forwarded on to third parties.
Phase I - Information
1. Attend informational meeting, Visitor Information Night
2. School Tour - Please contact Laura Birss, x268 for an appointment
Phase II - Application
1. Complete and submit online application including:
- Non-refundable processing fee of $190
- Psycho-Educational Assessments or IEP Assessment including:
- Cognitive ability assessments such as WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children)
- Academic Achievement assessments such as Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Test or WIAT Achievement Test
- Slingerland Screening
- Current copy of IEP or 504 Accommodation Plan (if applicable)
- Current Teacher Recommendation
- Release of Information Form
- Educational/Tutor Services Questionnaire (if applicable)
- Counselor, Psychotherapy Services (if applicable)

Phase III - Applicant Review
1. Shadowing - If applicant fits CAS profile, the admissions office will contact you to arrange for applicant to shadow for two consecutive days at CAS.
2. After shadowing, Admissions Committee reviews completed application to determine acceptance status.
3. Parent Interview - Admissions will contact you to arrange a time.
Phase IV- Enrollment
1. Upon acceptance applicant will receive a contract via email
2. Accepted applicant must complete and return the signed contact with their deposit and the following necessary enrollment forms:
- Acceptable Use Policy
- Anti-Bullying Pledge
- CAS Community Contract
- Parent Traffic Agreement
- Photo Release Form
- Student Standards of Behavior Policy
- Summer Program Verification
- Vision and Hearing Test Results
- Immunization Records
- Emergency Form
- Current Family Photo
