Admissions Process
Please do not submit any original documents, e.g. testing, reports, etc. (copies only) as they will become the property of Charles Armstrong School and will not be duplicated or forwarded on to third parties.
Phase 1 - Assessment
1. Initial tour and informational meeting, Visitor Information Night
2. Completed Application including:
Application with current student photo and $150 processing fee
Educational/Tutor Services (if applicable)
Counselor, Psychotherapy Services(if applicable)
Student Psycho-Educational Assessment
3. Testing
Slingerland Test Results
Academic Achievement Testing (Woodcock-Johnson Achievement Test or WIAT Achievement Test)
4. Current Report Card
5. Release of Information Form
6. Any professional evaluations that have been administered: IEPs, Speech therapy, Occupational Therapy
7. Reviewing of completed file by Admissions Office and decision as to whether or not applicant will proceed to Phase II
Phase II - Interview
1. Shadowing - CAS will contact you to arrange for applicant to shadow for two consecutive days at CAS.
Phase III - Review
1. Admissions Committee reviews completed file and decides whether or not Charles Armstrong School is an appropriate placement.
2. Parent Interview - CAS will contact you to arrange a time.
3. All student applicants considered to be suitable candidates for Charles Armstrong School’s program will be sent a letter of acceptance.
Phase IV - Enrollment
In order for an accepted student to be enrolled, the following must be completed:
1. Deposit of $2840 upon acceptance.
2. Tuition Contract signed and returned to Business Office
3. Current Family Photo
4. Vision and Hearing Test Results
5. Immunization Records
6. Work samples: writing, spelling, math
7. All applicable forms included in enrollment packet completed and returned
8. Enrollment in CAS Summer School & Camp
Only when these steps have been completed, will the student be officially placed on the enrollment for Charles Armstrong School
