Q: Is CAS a school for students with dyslexia only?
A: No. The mission of CAS is to serve the needs of students with diagnosed language-processing disorders.
Q: My child is categorized as having high-functioning autism. Can CAS help us with that?
A: No. We would not be able to accommodate any child in the autism spectrum, including Asperger Syndrome.
Q: Is CAS a school for students with ADHD?
A: If the primary issue is learning differences and there are no disruptive behaviors associated with ADHD, CAS may be an appropriate placement for your child.
Q: Can CAS help my child with diagnosed behavioral issues?
A: No.
Q: I am only interested in your summer school program. Can my child attend CAS summer school?
A: Yes. Our summer school program is open to all students.
Q: My child is going into the sixth grade and reads at a second grade level. Can CAS help her?
A: Most students entering CAS are reading below grade level. In order to accurately determine if we can help,we need to see the student’s current assessment results.
Q: What about speech and language issues?
A: Yes, that falls under the dyslexia diagnosis.
